Originally built in 1867 as a country house, after spending time as a wartime Royal Air Force Officers Mess and then offices, it was converted and sympathetically extended into a hotel in 1989. Surrounded by over one and a half acres of grounds and gardens, the Lincolnshire Oak is the ideal location for business and pleasure, situated at the crossroads of North Kesteven and with easy access to and from Lincoln, Boston, Newark and Grantham. It is the hotel of choice for visitors to the Royal Air Force College at Cranwell, as well as RAF Waddington, Digby and Conningsby.

On the ground floor is a convivial licenced bar and lounge with pool table. The hotel offers a fine selection of wines and beers. Unwind after a busy day with your favourite tipple. Guests can also enjoy a meal in an elegant dining room, with comfortable seating and varied cuisine, with evening meals served Monday to Thursday (17:30 to 20:00). Breakfast is served from Monday to Friday, 07:00 to 09:00. At weekends, it is served from 08:00 to 09:30. Earlier times can be arranged, provided the hotel is notified in advance.
